What have you got to do to get fired?
Unbelievable.
If he ever tries to impose more lockdown rules he should be laughed out of the country.

Perhaps its because Matt Hancock and Boris Johnson are two of a kind.

Spot on, MedSec.

If the leader of your party is amoral, what else can you expect?

Well nobody wants Hancock's job any more than they want Bojo's! Two years from now, expect the knife sharpener to be a millionaire, but not right now. Nobody wants the chalice, too much poison.

I can think of two people who desperately want Johnson's and Hancock's jobs and they are the present incumbents. They might be called "Right Honourable" in the Commons chamber but you can bet your mortgage that they will not ever do the right and honourable thing.

Scumbags: both.

He's resigned (breaking news on BBC). Good riddance. :Hi:

Also - BBC 6:00 News pundit had postulated that the Sun had a third bombshell up their sleeve to be launched in Sunday's paper. I wonder if that is true?

I doubt if it was a matter of conscience or ethics. The writing was on the wall. If he hadn't resigned he would have been replaced within a few weeks in a Cabinet reshuffle.

Having read his letter of resignation , he does not say he has done anything wrong. He is only saying how well he has managed the pandemic.

I wonder what lucrative job he will now get outside politics.

Very cute isnt it. Now the vaccinations are in a good state, the consequences of the virus are under control and we are anout to fully unlock, Javid takes over and gets the kudos for the work that has gone before. Nothing good will be remembered for Hancock, but Javid, doing next to nothing will get the kudos when it ends.

Just like Blair with the GFA.

Who would want to be a politician anyway.
