Musk knows this one, he, like Dorsey, diluted his shares in PayPal to the point where he was ousted by investors.
Musk paid $2,9bn for his shares to take him to almost 10%. Musk is worth $289bn. Bound to be some interesting outcomes from here. Hard to tell your largest shareholder "we barred you because......"
Tesla is about to split shares again. The last time they did this shares appreciated 400% in value on a 5 way split. I expect a much larger split this time. Musk could easily become the first $trillionaire. Which means he'll have the clout to buy just about anything he wants.
Companies who thought themselves "too big" to buy might be having another look. Might want to get their "poison pill" clauses in their shares now, rather than when it is too late.
