I don't agree with everything he says.
But the bits about pain being only for the little people and the future of personal transport, yes.
The people who govern us are working to an international agenda and not a domestic one.

I do not really do GB News. I flick in and out but am not a "watcher", if that means anything. I am not always a big Neil Oliver fan either, he can be a bit "preachy" on some things.

However, I am largely with him re that clip - try six minutes to 22 minutes in. WEF, Bilderberg, WHO, Common Purpose. CCTV, various governments, financial institutions, social media, apps for this, that and the other, and so on. We are being controlled like never before, yet many of us voluntarily buy in because we do not know any better. That is what they want. 1984 is Utopia by comparison with what is to come.

Logan's Run meets The Island meets Insurgent meets Riddick.

Elysium (though not in space) here we come. The rich in fortified citadels, the rest scavenging the old world to reuse, repurpose and recycle all today's crap.

There is another commentator on GB News called Mark Steyn. It took me a while to get used to him as I thought he was a bit odd at first. He is anti-establishment and he lifts stones to see what is underneath them. He can be very funny during his monologues.

Interesting view.

So the furlough was taking and not giving. The trillions wiped off the stock markets, hitting the rich, because the covid shutdowns were "having a go at the little person"?

Some people have a weird view of the world. I said at the outset that unbridled Furlough was going to cost us when the government had to recover the cost. What was the story? More MOre MORE. Unions couldn't get enough. Now it's all "How could you put taxes up". Well it's easy. You wanted "free cash" and now you're finding out it is not "free".

As for his tirade about the environment changes we are doing. I constantly hear about how you can't break an Inernational treaty you have signed. Really? Because everyone seems to think that we can just dump the Paris accord we signed. For the obtuse or simply for those who can't be bothered to read, that treaty locked us into legally binding reductions on our CO2 emissions.

I repeat this from time to time. The difference between a contribution and a commitment. Ham and Eggs. The chicken makes a contribution. The pig makes a commitment. Commitment takes sacrifice.

There are nearly 200 countries in the world. The UK is the #16 in emissions. That means there are nearly 184 countries and territories who emit less CO2 than we do. So we need to do something about it or we will be trashing our own weather, our own seaboard and our own economy. The fact that we'll be taking the rest with us is an aside. I mean, it's all about us isn't it? The rest, they can just suffer can't they?

I keep seeing and hearing all this stuff over and over again. It is NOT true and the smallest amount of effort to actually fact check things would show that it is not true. We ARE a large chunk of the problem. Not only with our consumption but also with our production of Oil and Gas and our offshoring CO2 emissions to China for the goods we buy from them.

It was abundantly clear that the "little people" were right front and centre when Furlough came around. I can assure you nobody offered me bloody furlough. They offered me a "loan" with a 1 year deferment and a 5 year repayment at 2.5%! The rich and super rich? They were on their own and the state wasn't helping with business unless the "little people" were going to get hurt if it failed.

Honestly the man lives on planet Uranus.

Only if we don't use our vote. It is the Sheeple who create this situation. Scared to step away from the known, scared to take a chance and live. Everything has to be safe. Well a padded cell is safe, you just don't get to live much. Some people like it that way and the number is growing.

There is this attitude out there that everything has to be "safe". This world has never been safe and never will be. But the constant outpouring of "it's not safe" drives Orwellian moves.

We need life to be a lot less "safe" and we need to take the responsibility for our lives. Until that happens, this whole move to 1984+++ will continue and people will continue to vote for it.

Yes, but our consumption is the big deal.

We, the West, offload our CO2 emissions to S.E. Asia in order for them to provide our 'necessities'. We 'pretend' that we are clean and that they are dirty.

The fact is that there are too many of us, everywhere, consuming so many of our finite resources at an increasing rate, yet we will not do anything about it.

There were 2.7bn people when I was born in 1953, 31% urbanised. Only 70 years later there are now 7.8bn with 56% urbanised. This cannot go on. Most of us produce nothing tangible, we just support others by shuffling (digital) papers and making money out of money.

That being said, China is rapidly moving towards large reductions in CO2 emissions.

The consumption of resources is an issue. I see this spawning a "race to space" to get more resources and minerals. Now that we are on the cusp of easy access to space this will eventually happen.

The ever present spectre is food scarcity and war. Climate Change will drive food scarcity and hunger will drive wars.

There is no point in pointing and saying "look at them they're not doing anything why should we", because our emissions are a Large part of the problem. What we should do is move our own industrial base to CO2 neutral (note I'm not talking "green" here this is not the challenge, CO2 is), then re-home manufacturing in the UK.

I can't see it. We will never compete with Asia when we are trying to bring our workforce down to 4 days out of 7 and push wages up to where a week's pay in the UK covers a months pay in Asia.

Everyone has to try. If we are not CO2 neutral, how can we demand that the goods we purchase are made in a CO2 neutral way??
