Someone in the editorial thought it would be a really good idea to present an opinion piece form a US WGAE author.
Then makes very sure comments are closed.
There are a LOT Of things to say about this POS, but within the vitriol being poured out here one thing becomes very clear.
First: the author hates rich people.
Second: the author knows not one single thing about the person he (unless he is identifying otherwise), is writing about.
In fact after wittering on the author writes this.
Those who are used to seeing their net worth grow by billions without lifting a finger are susceptible to believing, wrongly, that winning a fight will require little effort as well.
The target of this little piece of unsubtle disinformation bears no resemblance to what was written.
The target, in fact, works harder than the author, has put it all on the line to win, as I'm sure the complacent author has not. The target of this crap, to this day, works 70-100 hours per week. He didn't become the richest man in the world by sitting back and twiddling his fingers. He worked his ass off.
Perhaps the author is seriously pissed that his playground where he could pontificate and pour vitriol on people without comeback, is now a level playing field where writing crap is community noted and torn to shreds by people with no tolerance for this crap. Perhaps he ran away to Mastodon and then found that the few tens of thousands audience don't compensate for the hundreds of millions lost??
Who knows. But in a world where the upcoming generations don't even think about buying a paper from a stand and who wouldn't subscribe to a paid news service, this is not a way to promote your value.
Give it 20 years and the mainstream press and media will either be getting their revenue on free platforms where they are allocated ad revenue by the number of views of their articles, or they will be bankrupt.
