Paid to turn down your heating!

BBC.
It is all a bit of a mess, as the above suggests.
I only use my gas CH when I need it. It is always on manual and never on timer. I, me, switch it on or off when I need it. Same with my electric heaters. I have one 750W convection radiator in my small office, where I spend most of my time.
The CH radiators in the rooms I rarely use are turned off, they get the residual heat from the rest of my home. I am always warm.
It is only profligate users who will "benefit" from this and that is wrong, IMO. My sister is one... In autumn and winter it's CH at 25°C throughout the whole house with only her at home in a 4 bed detached. Gimme strength.
£1,310.90 in total for me this year.
