Wakefield knife attack

A few days since an incident occured in Wakefield outside the Swan with Two Necks pub.
One young gentleman armed with an 8 inch long knife attacked an Audi parked outside the pub, breaking it's windows with his knife, before breaking the windows of the pub with the knife.
At this point two men rushed out of the pub; one struck the knifeman over the head with a glass, the other one struck him repeatedly with a bar stool.
This incident has made the national press; it's even made it to a USA website. It does not appear to have made it to the local press, or the local TV news (I haven't seen it if it did, anyhow).
Strange.

It's why I use X. I saw it on X shortly after it released anywhere.
Your indication of why it didn't make the local press or media is in the ethnicity of the attackers and the defenders. Can't have the "good guys" being doubted the next time they march in London can you??
The local press and media is now "locally" controlled. If you know what I mean.
You want to see how the press and media work, you just need to read
this.

Yes, the press as attack dogs.
Bill ought to have said "Publish and be damned" - was that the Duke of Wellington?
It's sometimes a mistake to be polite and reasonable with those who have no intention of reciprocating.

But not always. I have the other view. Tie a noose around their neck and pay the rope out giving them a longer and longer chunk of rope before I tie it off and they jump off the wall.
Legal action in that case is now ongoing. Neck firmly in noose.
There is a really serious move in motion in the US to kill off DEI once and for all. It needs to come over to the UK too.

It was reported in the local media as well as ITV, BBC, Mail, Express and various unsocial media outlets.
Yes, it was horrific to watch but it seems like it was no more than a local turf war.
Let's not make too much out of this. Years ago, it would have been a filler piece at the end of another article in the local rag. People in the next town would have heard nothing of it.
These things have gone on forever but nowadays we have CCTV and phones to capture them to be shown everywhere from Patagonia to the Bering Straits in Eastern Russia and from the Arctic to the Antarctic.

A gruesome and eye-opening feature on the upsurge in machete attacks. filmed in the Leeds General Infirmary A&E, was on the BBC 6:00 News tonight.
Apparently there is a more detailed report on iPlayer.
