The thick ploten.

And they are thick. A poll of Conservatives shows that Tory types want Risky Sunhat to go, but they want Nigel (seven failures to be an MP) or the lying buffoon, Mr (party, party) Johnson, to replace him. Thankfully neither are MPs.

The next in line are Jeremy (rhymes with) Hunt or James (not so) Cleverly to replace him. Or they then want Kemi (badenough), but after that.... Cruella, the Lettuce and Priti Useless look to be out of it. The barrel bottom could then be breached.

Two by-elections coming up, then there are the May council elections. There could be a wipeout.

Another poll of the wider public says that it is not a new leader that's needed it's a GE. So come on, chaps, you can do it.

A GE is very badly needed.

Talk of a leadership challenge is just that imo - talk. Fanned by the newspapers.
Another leadership contest now would be somewhat pointless; it would be like having a vote to see who is going to be Captain of the Titanic after it had hit the iceberg.
Hands up, who wants the job? No, I thought not.

I don't discern any enthusiasm for Keir Starmer anywhere, but the Conservatives are out of steam and they are heading for a beating.
Tory MP's got rid of the member's favourite in Johnson, then launched a coup against Truss (who the members had just voted for!) to install Sunak. This means that MP's have really upset their own members.
From what I can see mainstream conservative voters are just going to stay at home at the next GE.

We may as well have a general election and get it over with.
Sunak has been on TV today with his latest big idea - banning disposable vapes. Dear oh dear.

You know, technically, that you don't need to be a MP to be PM?

He would have to become leader of the Tories (no chance) and then have to do what Alec Douglas-Home did and drop the Lordy bit and then try to become an MP in a by election. Yes, technically, he does not have to be an MP but convention says that he does.
