Nearly 4,000 arrests made since Labour came to power in July last year with some 16,400 deported in that time.

I make that about 12,000 people arrested but not deported by the Conservatives.

Facts can be a bit of a problem sometimes.

I think what I would like to know is (a) how are we deporting them (b) where are we deporting them to and (c) where are the Human Rights lawyers in all this, considering all the timewasting and delaying tactics the latter rolled out during the Conservatives* attempts to deal with illegals. Something seems a bit fishy to me over all this ......

That was my point ,where have the "human rights' bunch of lawyers hiding,or is this just a face saving tactic.
Why aren't we told how they are going or where.
I believe a load were sent back to the Caribbean area but these were mainly criminals not illegals

I have read that most of those deported by the Government are those who have outstayed their Visas etc. Most have gone voluntarily and I believe with a cash sweetener to ease them on their way. Illegal immigrants coming by boat across the channel have steadily increased in number.

It is a start by the Government in deporting those who have no right to be in the country and if it is voluntary then presumably the human rights lawyers will not attempt to stop it.

Levity aside they are left aligned and they have compromised their principles to not clash with Labour...
