Just a clarification

Did everyone get the real impact of the petition I put up on the government site. I thought that it would not be allowed. Mainly because if they did what I ask (and it would be hard to say no), then it would Guarantee an exit form the EU. Not now, certainly, but within the next 10 to 15 years.
This is not in doubt. It is a cast iron guarantee. If we enact legislation to exit the EU when, not if, we lose our seat on the UN security council, then we will leave the EU.
I did wonder if everyone had understood that fact. If those of us who do not see the EU as our way forward do nothing else, then we should do this.
In terms of a bill, it is heads we win, tails you lose. There is no political party in the country today who can argue that the loss of this seat is a good thing. They simply can't. Nobody would believe them. Too many remember WWII clearly and the need for the UN in the aftermath and the need for the nations who emerged from that to be permanent members of it. Note not Germany, ever.
If the parties do NOT vote for this bill, then everyone in the country should be 100% aware that the aims of our main parties in government is to remove UK influence in the world and hand it over to an EU which has a Franco German summit, not an Anglo German or Anglo Franco summit.
Just thought I'd mention that.
