Extra jobs, there to promote the good the bad and the ugly "for a price" of course and a Directorship, often not just one but two and three to add to their portfolio.
We learned yesterday that one MP pocketed a few million last year from his extra job.
And now they these hard working  suffering  MP's are seemingly going to get an added bonus of £10,000 a year increase in their salaries
These lobbyists are not interested in how this country is run, justice, the NHS, the workplace, the poverty ,the homeless, the well being of it's people or in its future that looks dodgy,
they are interested only in adding to their portfolios, that get fatter by the day at the expense of this nation.

Over £7m these leeches made between them from their 'second' jobs.

There are times when it looks as though being an MP is the sideline to their main work... and that is so wrong.

Then we’d have to stop firemen from running businesses with their time off…..

More than one job is not illegal or, possibly, even immoral.

I’d rather they had a second job and earned millions than they had only the MP job and made hundreds of thousands out of the public purse.

Also people with a second job have a larger slice of reality than those who ONLY do politics.

I know most don’t agree with this, but then most people get the results of their beliefs. If I recall correctly, that was 10 years of Blairism and a few years of Brownian mediocrity. What we have now is nothing to do with belief but a refuge form the results of those belief’s, because people can’t take the pain of the reality.

Suff, nobody is suggesting that MPs should not have second jobs, but their main priority should be being an MP. We pay them almost three times the average wage, plus perks many cannot even dream of, to do that work. If they do not like the deal they should resign and let others have a go.

Earning more for one night on the speaking circuit than most people earn in a whole year in no way brings them close to most people's reality.

And the police of course early retirement golden handshake and pension, back within three months as advisors etc..another pension and great salary
And politically those MP's who have second and third jobs, directorships are lobbyists, getting the companies they work for contracts. All on the bloody fiddle....

Well my take is that I’d rather have businesses lobbying government than the only lobbyists being those who want Gay Marriage, removal of the English Flag on public buildings to be replaced by the EU flag and those who want to extend this PC BS even further into our lives…..

It’s about balance. Apparently if you make money you can’t do it. But it’s not money making which is destroying our country, it is those who pretend to do things for free…..
