This did not get much coverage... no surprises there.

However, if all this waste was cut out and government was serious about getting multi-nationals to pay even a fraction of what we are due then the austerity programme could be closed down come the next financial year.

I wonder if they have managed to get all the scandals covered? I'm thinking particularly of State attempts to have national IT software systems written - the NHS disaster is well enough known but there are an awful lot that managed to remain under the radar!

I think that this is only the tip of the iceberg. If they look hard enough I am convinced that there will be a lot more savings to be had.
