So the two women have walked away with a massive golden handshake, Jill Finney with a £60,000 pension following her massive earnings of £145,000 p.a. as Deputy Chief Executive of the CQC after a stint as communication director. and has now moved to Nominet a supposedly non profit organisation. devious cover ups regarding the neglect and deaths in the Trusts for which she was responsible. When the shocking neglect was exposed it was stated that "No way this information can go public Read my Lips"
Cynthia Bower, A BULLY quit as chief executive of the CQC last year with a £200,000 payoff and 1.35million pension pot, she is said to have resided over a culture of bullying and obsessing over reputation.. How remarkable and shocking that this woman was appointed after failing to stop the care scandal in Mid Staffs for which she was responsible as head of the regional authority.. No available for comment of course
These crooks, and they are crooks who cover up fatalities due to neglect and failing care that started on their watch. And when caught out and discreetly asked to resign they are paid a fortune.. Who ever agreed to this? Who promotes these incompetents? these unscrupulous individuals who have not got a grain of honesty in their system? and whom so ever they were getting their orders at whatever level they should be exposed and named! named! named! along with them, including that disgraceful Nicholls his sidekicks, Tony Halsall and the rest of those gamblers who have played with peoples lives and who are systematically destroying everything that we have held in esteem.. NHS? NO HOPE'RS SERVICE is more appropriate

The CQC is a bottomless money pit and a totally unnecessary Quango if ever there was one.

Whatever happened to the Bonfire of the Quangos? The job of overseeing the quality of care in any medical facility in the UK is one for the Health Ministry not a bunch of former PR people and accountants. Their salaries, pensions and redundancy payments could all have gone into the austerity pot.

What is also needed is a change of culture/law. People should not be allowed to resign before getting the sack and then still be allowed their full pensions, perks and payouts, and sideways promotions should not be allowed either. We see it all the time with Police, Social Services, Head Teachers, Civil Servants et al. There has to be some form of censure for being useless.

The third woman implicated in the Cumbria fiasco, Anna Jefferson, has now spoken out. She, like the others, cannot remember ever suggesting that a report be deleted, hidden or put outside the FOI framework. What a surprise.

Well somebody gave the go-ahead, as the report was shelved. Don't these high level meetings have minutes taken any more? I would make it mandatory that they are sound recorded and made available on request. No more hiding.
