The BBC has been doing its level best to push the unofficial Labour manifesto over the past few days. Ed is apparently influenced by Atlee - talk about delusions of grandeur. He is going to penalise property developers who "sit on land" when they should be building house. No mention of what the penalties might be or how even one house will be built. Best of all he is not going to reverse any cuts the Giddy one makes ... because we are in the toughest economic circumstances we have seen in generations. Yup, Ed, but how did we get there?

Meanwhile over at the Liberal offices Nick is telling his crew not to go into the next election with a "flight-of-fancy" manifesto. He is going to tell them that they must make clear what policies are sacrosanct in negotiations with another party in the event of a hung Parliament. The "flight-of-fancy" has to be that the LibDems will be in any position to negotiate anything with anyone.

And don't forget the Tories want to rip up the countryside and build houses on it because it's "boring". So how will we grow food to eat?

No problem, they're pushing Frankenstein crops. I don't know about doomed, we'll all turn into mutants.

We can dispense with the need for all this new development if we had a much small population. Anyone out there listening? Thought not .....

No change there then.
Labour have a massive problem - Miliband. The BBC can push him and build him up as much as they like, but just the look and the sound of him - Prime Minister? No way. He reminds me irresistably of a student politician.
Every time Miliband opens his mouth Labour drop a couple of points in the polls.
He's trying to do what Cameron did in the last election - nothing. All Cameron had to do was not to be Gordon Brown.
Miliband thinks he can do the same to Cameron next time, but I'm not so sure.
Ossie - the more people they can cram into the UK, the more money big business makes and big business keeps the mainstream political parties going. We are overpopulated and no one will admit it.

This may all be true. But between Cameron and Farage, they're going to give it to Clegg and Miliband.
