But MORE, my youngest baby is flying in from Brisbane on Saturday to spend three weeks over Christmas with me. That's one reason to be very happy indeed.

The NHS is falling apart, schools are failing pupils, the welfare system is a "scroungers" charter, and on and on and on.

Good news is saved for the last slot on the bulletin: "And finally...."

There's a lot of truth in what you say, Frank.

Perhaps if I keep that in mind I may feel better.

I'm tracking her flight, it's brill to see a teeny tiny plane going across all those countries.

Aggers, that's keeping me occupied and happy. Watch with me, if you want: http://uk.flightaware.com/live/flight/UAE435/history/20121214/1045Z/YBBN/OMDB not long before she reaches Dubai and then the worst is over, only a short haul from there.

Thanks all.

She's home, sleeping peacefully, and I realised today that I feel complete when I have my children close.

Aggers, are you cheered a little?

What a joy for you ooj, enjoy every moment as I am sure you will.. I know how you are feeling...It was lovely when Gus and I visited my late son and his family in the States, to enjoy every precious moment, our musical evenings with my grandchildren playing piano and guitar, along with my son and his wife also great musicians, reminiscing on years gone by and their hopes for the future.
Have a wonderful Christmas ooj :D saturated in the love around you all.. :D
