Imponderables

A few things in the news bugging me lately, like, Knox. Did she or didn`t she? No apparent motive, no forensic and none of her footprints at the scene like those of the man in jail for the murder. Yet the Italians seem sure she was involved, maybe they know something we don`t. I expect we shall never know the truth.
Then, Diana. Conspiracy theories keep coming up but the latest of a laser, I think it very doubtful that an experienced driver would swerve if suddenly losing vision. I certainly would not, just continue in the same direction and brake gently to a stop as has happened to me with a shattered windscreen. What we do know is that they took that car and that route, probably persuaded by someone unknown and they were baulked by another car in the tunnel and their car swerved into the pillar. Again I do not think an experienced driver would swerve like that if baulked by a small car, I certainly would not unless I could see the way clear to do so, putting my faith in crumple zone, belt and bag. Could the car have swerved like that to the left by itself when he braked perhaps by the right disc being applied with a lubricant spray? Then there was the mysterious doctor who appeared on the scene and tried to revive her, or did he?
Thirdly Pistorius, the thing I have never seen mentioned is why did she lock the loo door? In an intimate relationship with someone you would not lock the door when getting out of bed for a pee, shut yes to minimise the noise of the flush but not lock. The only reason for that must have been to get away from him for a while after a row. I am quite sure he never intended to kill her but got out of bed after her putting on his legs and either took his gun or went back for it then fired at the door in a blind rage without thinking of the consequences. The trial will be interesting.
