Afghanistan

Postby KateLMead » 13 Nov 2013, 19:38

We learn today that the Afghans have produced more heroin in their poppy fields, bumper crops more than ever before.
Now I remember the day when B'Liar said he was invading Afghanistan to get rid of the poppy fields, and the Taliban.!!
When is this man going to be brought to book? He has made millions, all blood money. Bosom pals with Dictators, a most ruthless and unscrupulous individual along with his wife. This was a man who couldn't afford to pay his mortgage remember,
Who under sufferance admits to be worth well over 50m with a portfolio as long as your arm.
Time he put his hand in his pocket and handed some of those ill gotten gains, a few million will do for a start, to support our limbless forces who due to his lies were sent to Iraq and Afghanistan. We are now giving up a fight that we could never win.

I said ages ago that NATO forces should have bought up the harvest for a few $, £ or € more than the Taliban were offering and incinerate it on the spot. I saw similar proposals put forward by MPs, political commentators and some military leaders.

Why some of these alternatives to drones and guns and bombs were not even tried is beyond me.

We can thank bloody B'Liar for the situation as it is today.. The Russians failed when they went in, and we have also failed. And for what? Thousands killed and maimed, our injured and limbless soldiers condemned to living a life of pain physically and psychologically, and terrible discomfort with little monetary support. Heroin swamping the markets world wide. many soldiers on the scrap heap homeless addicted to drugs. When will we every learn?

I remember the smiling embrace between B'Liar and Gaddafi "the kiss of death" "look at what has happened to the country since . Death and destruction. As expats, We had a good relationship with the Libyans. Again contracts and oil....
