Pssst! Wanna buy an EU passport?

Dead easy: nothing illegal about it gov. Hand over the dosh and the 'port is yours.

It is true. If you live outside of the EU and you are rich, a bit of a catch for a lot of people, you can buy your way in. Depending where you want to go depends on how much it cost, but you can go anywhere. Once in you are "in".

The main takers are: Germany -109,594; Spain - 114,599; France - 114,584; but in first place we have................................
The UK - 177,500 in 2011.

So, if you have enough money you can swap a third-world banana republic with a great climate for a third world chav republic with a crap climate. Enjoy.

Now what was all that about our government reducing the flow of immigrants?

Sorry John, but I thought it important for us to be able to compare what the government says with what it does.

If the 2011 UK numbers continue for a decade we will import a population the size of Birmingham and Leeds put together, and they will be on top of the "Bristol" already lost.

They will have no allegiance to the UK, they will bring their own cultures and values (all different) and they will probably not have English as their first language.

Would I make it up? ;)

No, I never suspected that, WM ..... ...... it's just that it rang a bell with something I thought I saw reported on a few years back - indeed, it was Hungary issuing passports to all and sundry.

It's a disaster which won't be corrected until we (a) walk away from the Schengen protocols and (b) stop offering British citizenship to incomers ourselves.
