BT.. What a shambles

I bought two telephones from BT in Sept, both had large print numbers. Neither of them have worked correctly from day one, the zero never comes up when making a call. I had also requested that nuisance calls be blocked, this request has not been carried out the one in my bedroom does not charge up.
This afternoon my daughter attempted to make a report to the appropriate department this was the third time...in between waiting to get through to Mumbai (cannot spell it) she was kept waiting and put through to FIve different operators, in all the call took over two hours.. What a shambles BT has become, like post offices half of them are now owned by foreigners, three in our area by
Indians, postal delivery has become erratic. And Service are deteriorating.

I gave up on BT years ago. It is so big that nobody seemed concerned about the problems of one little customer.

I thought that things could not get worse, then VirginMedia proved me wrong! What a shambles!

I am now with TalkTalk.... not perfect, but better than the competition for me.

Kate, email Gavin Patterson, CEO of BT

gavin.e.patterson@bt.com

I have found that is the only way to get things done.

Thanks Molly I will,it has been a nightmare. Gus was ready. to throw the phone on the fire. The quality of their telephones
Is as bad as their service RUBBISH. Glad I am not alone in my opinion of BT.

Luck of the draw I think. I have had BT wireless phones for five years and no trouble other than battery replacement, just AAAs except perhaps one of them sometimes gives a bleep instead of ringing particularly when off the hook for a long time. BT annoy me however by pestering me with offers re broadband. I am with Talk Talk too but that has its problems.

Several years ago my number started appearing in the phone book even though I had requested to be ex-directory. It took several phone calls and letters before it was removed in the next edition of the directory.
I was and still am with TalkTalk and neither BT or TT would accept responsibilty for the change until I wrote to the CEO quoting legal action.
I did have a second phone line which had been installed when I was working removed between the house and the telegraph pole when one of the BT engineers was doing some work on the pole.
Regarding Virgin, neighbour had it installed. Virgin attached the cable to part of my garden wall without my knowledge or consent. Again I had to write a very strong letter to have it removed. That was two years ago.

I'm with BT for telephone and Broadband., but I have mixed views about them.

Sometimes they are very good at sorting out a problem - when the people dealing with it are based in the UK,
but when an overseas call centre is involved they are absolute rubbish.
