Disappearing news item about the plane

When I am up in the night I read the newspaper websites and it is quite common to find a rather worrying article in one of them, which has completely disappeared by the time I read the site again in the morning.
Last night, in one of the papers and I can't remember which one annoyingly, there was this item which said the missing plane had been carrying highly flammable batteries which were a big fire risk. It said the Government had kept this quiet and hadn't admitted that they could have caused a major fire risk.
Strange isn't it. I wish I had copied it at the time.

I saw this yesterday Rodo. I was looking at the mail online at around 6pm and it was there then.

Saw this article as well, but to be honest, I dismissed it as a typical generic DM scaremongering story.
Back last week sometime, one of their headlines said, bluntly, (I can't remember the exact words but it was over that Southern Ocean satellite sighting) "Wreckage found!". When you read the story, of course, it said "Wreckage probably found" ........

Yes it was or is carrying lithium batteries which can catch fire spontaneously, like the ones on the Dreamliners. I believe though that these are small like the ones on laptops or other appliances and several fires have been started by these but only when on charge I think. However I expect a 777 would have fire detection in the cargo hold and a means of extinguishing it.

The batteries story is another "grasping at straws" theory.
Maybe the "tonnes of mangosteens" being carried ripened early and started to ferment? The crew and passengers could have been overcome by the alcoholic fumes.

The plane has gone down somewhere. Atm we don't know where or why; and looking at the size of the area it could have gone down in, we may never know.

Theories, theories, theories but at least no one has suggested that it might have been captured by a flying saucer..er..yet

Perhaps the Bermuda triangle has moved south because of the strong winds.
