I have just listened to Farage and Clegg on LBC.excellent radio station, stimulating
Good debate. Pity Cameron and Milliband were not willing to participate.

I have listened to a re-run and TBH it was a fairly muted affair. Nick Ferrari moderated it pretty evenly and kept them both "on task".
Farage shaded it, though. He answered to the audience, which was a big plus, but there were no killer blows. They were both winners, to some extent, with Cameron and Miliband, and us, the losers - we still do not know what they think.
What is most interesting is the aftermath, with the LibDems claiming of Farage "siding with Putin" for saying that the EU has "blood on its hands" with regards to Crimea. Too late Nick, you had your chance during the debate and you missed it. Move on.

... and Farage, IMO, was dead right about the EU and Crimea. I posted similar on VV in another thread over a week ago!
I "watched" the debate on the Guardian on-line blog and my impression was it was very much a draw - Farage more concise in making argument, but Clegg better with the facts and statistics. I do agree that it was "refereed" well though, that was certainly what came across.

General concensus seems to be that Farage won. I didn't bother watching it though.

Reading comments in some newspapers Nick Ferrari is well regarded, with some suggesting that he should do the TV debate instead of Dimbleby. No argument from me on that one.
Not being in the London area I am not familiar with him, except when de does newspaper reviews late on 24hr news. He always has a better analysis than his co-reviewers and is fair with his comments.

Clegg came over like a second hand car sales man. I wouldn't trust him one inch. All mouth and no substance.
