Last Saturday I visited a charity shop (for forces) run by a friend.
A fellow came in and discovered a super leather jacket with a small Union Jack in the centre on the back .
My friend commented on the quality, the man said "yes but I no like the Union Jack on the back it
Must go".
My friend asked why he replied with a sneer "Flag No Good"
For once I was speechless, she asked where he came from, he replied the Ukraine!

If he doesn't like us then as far as I'm concerned he should clear off, and as far away as possible.

Maybe he just wanted a plain leather jacket with no design on it at all?
If I'm honest I'd turn my nose up at a jacket with a Union flag slap bang in the middle of the back...or anywhere for that matter. Not because I'm against the flag, just because it's not a style I'd want to wear.

I originally thought that it was a label sewn on the inside, that had me annoyed.
Jo's post, however, has me agreeing with her.... and the bloke. I wouldn't want the flag, any flag, nor a company logo, or a stupid slogan. A plain jacket would do me fine.

I wondered that too, it is easy to misunderstand inference, when someone only has basic English.......

That is exactly what I thought too, but thought I would be in the minority, obviously not

His English was excellent, his tone was scathing as was his comment. I think we are all able to differentiate between an insult and a general comment.
