As we can see in the last week. Not only did he offend a lot of Scots by lionising Putin, he then by virtually called the Scots Alcoholics..... Given the state of the English "lager louts", that's offensive on a whole range of issues.
The upshot is that the NO vote climbed to 51% and the gap climbed to 16%. Quite literally this could be the turning point of the campaign. But, as they say, Labour has it all to lose and they're good at that in Scotland.....

The BBC ran a story about the Sunday Herald backing the "Yes" campaign; it also opened it up to comments. By the time I had read page after page of comments I had lost the will to live. Both sides were fighting for the monopoly on talking bollocks, and many on each side were trying for the ultimate insult. It got to the point where I went from wanting Scotland to stay with the Union to one where I didn't care one way or the other any more.
The SNP is here to stay, and if the referendum does not go its way this time it will resort to the EU tactic of asking over and over again until the Scots give the "right" answer.

If he's not omnipotent he must have kids?
(Sorry).
I saw the "drunks" comment Suff; not the best judged or timed remark in the world.
I still can't work out how the Scots can come to an informed decision when no one seems to have any answers to the many questions raised by the possibility of independence.

Just like any vote really. 80% down party lines depending on which party you support and 20% of people who are really concerned and have done the math.
The main elephant in the room today is the move further and further to SNP as each Labour and Lib Dem Gaffe unfolds. Conservatives are bystanders at the accident.
BTW, the 20% is almost solidly with the Yes vote.
