He's too busy being appropriate; saying how awful it is that some people have more money than others.
Difficult stuff like a Muslim woman being sentenced to hang because she married a Christian, he'd rather avoid. Imo.

He's caught between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. If he protests and there is inter-religious trouble he will be condemned. If he is seen to do nothing he will also be condemned.
Why him, alone? She is an Orthodox Christian, not a Catholic, where are all the other Christian leaders and political leaders of Christian countries? Are they hiding because they are afraid of Islam? And where are the moderate Islamic leaders, if there are any?
If a woman in a Christian country was sentenced to death for converting to Islam that country would be criticised from all sides.

Fair points Frank.
One of our leaders, political or religious, should say something. Maybe they don't have the guts.

Tell me how many are "Not" afraid of radical Islam. They are powerful, ruthless, even infiltrating our schools and dismissing Christian teachers. They are on the march and will not stop until they are in control of every nook and cranny here and abroad.
What will be done to stop them? "Absolutely Nothing!!"

I think that you are wrong, Kate. The average person is not afraid of Islam, but political parties are. There will come a time when free societies will put up with no more religious interference in their lives: and they will fight back.

Well the Italian government are apparently trying to do something about it. They are meeting for talks at UN headquarters with Amnesty International to try to save the woman's life.

I'm afraid there will always be problems because of religion.
I've just been reading a book about the Spanish Inquisition. It's horrifying the way
people were tortured and destroyed, all in the name of Christianity. Generally speaking,
human beings are Nature's worst creation. I won't be surprised at anything that ensues.
