Tony Blair, who many class as a war criminal, has his own website. Nothing wrong with that. On that website he has made certain claims about the 2003 invasion of Iraq and today's situation, claiming not to have any responsibility for the first or for there being any connection of the two. I grudgingly admit that he is entitled to say that, I also admit that it the media might want to report it.
What I cannot agree with is the media (BBC and Sky) giving him air time to publicly justify his position to a much wider audience and effectively wash his hands of the matter - not without him being strongly challenged, in a Paxman sort of way.
It is true that third hand criticism of him has been reported, but he, personally, has not been taken to task in any meaningful kind of way. It is almost as if the media actively want the slate during the time he was PM to be wiped clean.
I wonder if he is about to embark on a political comeback?
