UK terror threat level raised to 'Severe'.

Postby Workingman » 29 Aug 2014, 13:27

Meaning that an attack is "highly likely" from 'international' terrorists.

Theresa May was careful to stress the 'international' aspect, and went on to say that there is no intelligence of such a threat.

What game is being played here? Has the level been raised because of someone's gut instinct? Is it really a hidden warning to home-grown jihadis not to try anything? Is it a 'gee-up' to the public for us to keep on being alert because there is a feeling that we have been slacking?

All departments are s!!! scared Frank, so as in the past they pretend nothing is happening untoward in this country. These individuals have been free to go and come back as they please! have even been free to discuss their aims on the BBC, even to recruiting more Muslims to join the,
The way the police force and government will act is to simply "wait and see" I fear for my daughter travelling to London every week by train and for this country of ours.

Letting them out is not the problem.

Stopping them coming back in is.

I don't see why it should be a problem. We just have to refuse to let them enter, and send them back.

We are too blinking soft in this country - and we will pay the price for it, i'm sure.

Who knows? It's an unfortunate fact of life in recent years that we have become so cynical (and with good reason) that we can't trust anybody in high office to tell the truth, and there is always the underlying suspicion that we are being manipulated to fit in with some esoteric political agenda.

Quite honestly, if the threat to people in this country from these so-called British terrorists is as severe as the politicians say it is, then they have, in my view, an absolute duty to get our military out there to the Middle East, and start eliminating them in their own backyard.

I sincerely hope that's what the SAS are doing right now ....

Yes indeed WM I too wonder what their game is in carrying out atrocities here at great risk to themselves if it is not reprisals for what we are doing in their countries. :(
