What an outrage "Jehovah witnesses or not" to separate the parents from their child and "to imprison them is an outrage" "because they took him abroad to give him a chance of survival with a treatment denied him in this God forsaken country."
I would think the shocking actions of British authorities and the NHS denying this child, seriously ill the presence of his mother and father in a different country by one and the same authorities who have ignored the need of the child shows what this damnable country has come too. Cannot arrest terrorists and jail them, cannot and have not stop Jihadists from going
Overseas murdering innocents by the thousands.cannot send murderers and  criminals back to their country of origin Human Rights you know

This government and the government should hang their heads in shame. The authorities and all those heartless idiots who
Are denying this child the comfort and loving arms of his mother and father.most of whom
would go to the ends of the earth to save their child if they had the means!
Our NHS is in a diabolical state as we have seen by the beds being cleared "one way
Or another"

Poor parents. They were only trying to help their boy after being told the UK doctors couldn't do any more for him. Child cruelty? I don't think so.

So why all the hue and cry? I think the clue is in the news bulletins which said that the child had been "removed from the hospital by his parents without permission".

Which in the eyes of the state is a grave offence. We all have to do as we are told.

This case is chilling, the parents had every right to do what they did, they broke no laws, so to see them on tv being carted off in handcuffs is appalling :(

Quite outrageous. I am surprised the Spanish are co-operating in this, at least the medical profession do not think they are God there.

Si it has become a crime to get the best possible treatment for your child and give him love.

What about the elderly who have been discharged from hospital in the middle of the night without any help or assistance to get home.

I cannot find anything, anywhere, that says the parents have broken any law, so how did an arrest warrant get issued and why are they facing extradition form Spain?

From what I can see they went to Spain to free up funds from a property they own in order to pay for their son's treatment. How that can be wrong escapes me.

I think the whole matter is thoroughly disgraceful. I can't see that the parents have done anything wrong.
Everything they did was in the best interests of their child. Now they are in a prison cell.

Talk about human rights? - don't make me laugh.

I'm completely disillusioned and fed up to the teeth with the way this country of ours is changing.

Fed Up? And so am I Aggers. I feel no pride in being English, that pride has been knocked out of us.
I would sue the lot of them, not that one would get anywhere, the NHS the Authorities, and legal system
Are joined at the hip as I discovered following eight years of medical neglect of my daughter and a much needed operation that turned out to be botched job in Addenbrooks, but I had to take her to St Thomas's London before action was taken.
Following which she is and has suffered severe breathing problems that have endangered and complicated her life.
I have little faith in the NHS following the Stafford debacle and seeing the man responsible promoted . The poor King family
And those authorities responsible for this disgraceful situation should hang their heads in shame. I note that all those involved make up excuses condemning the King families decision.

This story is horrifying beyond belief   Are all the police, doctors, government ministers, all jockeying so hard to protect their own position that they have forgotten that this is about a very ill small boy, who is now separated from his family? How can anyone with an ounce of compassion ever ever feel that it is right to jail his parents who, let's not forget, have done NOTHING criminal. I want to scream and shout at someone, pummel their uncaring faces, make someone somewhere do something sensible and practical. Perhaps what the parents did was ill advised, but they had put a lot of thought into it, I watched the father's video and thought he was very articulate and in the end all they want is the best they can get for their lovely little boy. It's amazing how money can be found for sex change ops, breast enhancements ( and reversals), gastric bands........and yet not to give a little boy a chance of life. I despair, really I do.

Despair? And so do I. Despair in disbelief.
