Man or anagram?

A man. Actually he wasn't called Bekim Ademi at all, according to yesterday's Daily Telegraph. His real name was Elidon Habilaj, an Albanian asylum seeker who claimed, among other things, to have had five of his teeth knocked out by Serbian Police wearing knuckle dusters, whose brother had been tortured to death, whose father had been killed by the Kosovan Liberation Army and whose mother had died of a stroke.

He jumped out of the back of a lorry in 1998, was granted asylum in 2001 and British citizenship thereafter.

In 2009 he obtained a job with the Serious Organised Crime Agency in London. Unfortunately his own details came up on SOCA's database and that was that. Mr Habilaj is currently being tried in his absence, as he has apparently disappeared.

So that's our asylum system in a nutshell.
We have no effective way of telling who people are.
We do not know where they are from.
We do not know if their story is a complete pack of lies and appear to have little interest in finding out.
We do not know if they are good people or bad people.
We do not know if they are healthy or carrying contagious diseases.
Farce, shambles, joke.

Do these government departments not get references or make any checks before employing new persons like this? What was he doing between 2001 and 2009? How was he getting money to live?

A damned good set of reasons for holding all types of asylum seekers and illegal immigrants in enclosed processing centres and away from society until all of their supposed bona fides are thoroughly checked out.

But, Frank, what about their Human Rights ?

The latest on the Immigration farce in this country is that Capita are being accused of breaking the Data Protection Act by texting and emailing the wrong people to tell them they atre illegal immigrants Erm shouldn't the real question be what on earth are they doing contacting people by email or text?? Shouldn't they be turning up on their doorstep with a couple of plods in tow to take them to a detention centre prior to being deported? Just a suggestion chaps............................

No wonder so many illegals disappear off never to be traced again, as the authorities kindly warn them they are rumbled!

Flood gates were opened and look at the result.. As for Capita I would imprison every idiot who is and was in charge of this damnable shambles that has reduced this country to no more than a cess pit.

There are plenty of ex Army and RAF camps under care and maintenance which could be used. They were good enough for serving members of the forces, they should be good enough for asylum seekers and immigrants.

They would have safe shelter, heating, food.... everything in one place including: medical facilities, legal representation, translators and security. How does any of that impinge on their human rights? If anything, they are more protected and cared for than if they were left to fend for themselves on the streets.
