Interesting stuff though. Legally whoever did this in the Treasury could be prosecuted. In my mind should be prosecuted.

Just because you don't want the people to make a decision you don't like, does not mean that you can break the law. Tonly Blair is no longer PM. Those in power need to recognsie that and act accordnigly.

Alex Salmond is right to ask for an inquiry over the leak of sensitive market information by a Treasury source to the BBC.

However, is he right to "Got to war" or "Open up a war of word" or "Clash" with the BBC as the newspaper headlines say? It might feel good for him to get it off his chest, but it does not change the message of why the banks might move their legal domiciles to London.

Salmond is only pi$$ed because he was severely heckled by Nick Robinson for completely ducking the bank question at his conference yesterday.

Anyway, there will be a flight of both cash and jobs south of the border, that goes without saying. 9,000 jobs at HMRC Cumbernauld alone. And nobody in their right mind will want to leave their funds in a newly-formed, financially-unstable country. I'll certainly be cashing in my currently Scottish-based bonds if there's a yes vote and the companies concerned don't split their business and holdings between the countries, and I'm sure I won't be the only one south of the border to do that.

The currency union will not happen - no way will rUK guarantee Scotland's future finances with no say on policy and no taxes. I'm quite sure the English people will not wear it, let alone the politicians, and I'm pleased to see that Farage has said he would fight the 2015 election on that principle. That'll concentrate LibLabCon minds.

We are living in the most corrupt era ever Frank, (but then has it ever been any different? there is another revelation today in that (terrible DM who are happy to stick their neck out nothing new however..
not only do these waster's get a 10 percent pay rise, we see the greedy B'ards are paying wives and relatives up to £50,000 a year as their secretaries. Corruption Rules this God Forsaken country not MP's so whatever the Scots decide it will not alter this corrupt system that rules.

Not quite true, Suff.

He has being saying it for a good while now, but any attention paid to it has been negative, with the implication he was being paranoid.

Those who are unfortunate enough to have me on FB will have seen my many, many posts in support of the Yes campaign. A lot of these posts have been there for weeks and are saying about how biased the bbc has been-and many come from the snp web site. I've also heard it said a lot when talking to the Yes campaigners on the streets-if they all know it then it's a certainty Salmond does too.
