A footballer is taking grief on Twitter, so tells another user to "go back to your own country" and with that the sky has fallen in on him.
The footballer has apologised for his "provoked" outburst and admitted that it was "out of order", but that's not good enough. The police have, somehow, got involved and are carrying out initial inquiries. The footballer's employers have made "statements". His career is now in jeopardy.
Nothing, not a word, is being said about his tormentor.
The world has gone mad in its desire to be "officially" offended on behalf of anyone, by any words uttered by anyone else at any time.
