Ah, but..... they are idols and people used to worship them instead of Allah.

So that makes it alright, then.

21 Egyptian Coptic Christian men beheaded. 90 Assyrian Christian women and children kidnapped: their fate unknown.

There surely has to come a time when the civilised world declares "enough is enough" and acts accordingly.

That was upped to over 200 women and children wasn't it?

After all they need R&R for their growing army of "moralists"!

$64k answer: Yes, and plenty of them, and also tanks, artillery, aircraft, drones, satellites, radio jamming, the kitchen sink. Anybody and everybody welcome to take part.

Ditto WM. All and sundry welcome to participate so long as they are going to fight and not aid the enemy.

They don't need to just be beaten, they need to be crushed utterly and eradicated from the ground so forcefully that nobody thinks of doing this again for another 1,300 years....

In the end we'll do it through shame. We should have done it because it was the right thing to do. Something which will be forced on the rest of the world eventually. If only bv IS propaganda.

...... and so it continues.

It would not surprise me if IS's destruction of ancient artefacts, rather than its destruction of people's lives, became the catalyst for the civilised world to actually do something about them.

Yes I was thinking the same thing.

I was thinking that there has been more common and constant outrage at the destruction of these artefacts than there has been for their murder, rape and abduction....

Such is the world we live in.
