I bet you did not know that!

Our Education secretary, Nicky Morgan, has seen it, though, and has brought in new rules for school staff identifying pupils as homophobic to inform Heads, social services and the police.

But wait! Nature's homophobes have been with us since Adam and Eve. I do not remember them suicide bombing gay bars or lining up and beheading gays or massacring them on some sunny beach.

What Morgan is doing is hiding behind, and abusing, 'ordinary' homophobia in order to get at the religiously indoctrinated version, and we all know which religion. She is a coward of the worst kind.

Is it 'homophobia' stopping people responding? Are we now conditioned to shy away from such subjects and is that why Nicky Morgan has chosen it as her theme?

At school we boys, and girls, selected who would be in our group and who would be left out. If you played football, cricket, netball you were "in" if not you were "out". If you came from a different area you were "out". We had no notion of homophobia, though that is what some of us were. By the time we left school most of those things were washed out of us, though one or two from any year group of 150 did remain homophobic. They were the 'natural' homophobes I mentioned earlier.

We now have a group who, through religion, are indoctrinated into being homophobic. Why are we so afraid to challenge that? Our Education Secretary is making out that all homophobics are extremists, and that is simply not the case. Those who have been indoctrinated to be homophobic are the worry and they are certainly not the natural homophobes I mentioned earlier. It is they who are carrying out atrocities and we must stop them. We know their religion and our 'leaders' are scarfed to challenge it.

Quite. The LGBT lobby has become so vocal and powerful that I think quite a lot of people may be constrained from addressing the subject. In the same way that (possibly up until recently, thanks to UKIP), people have been constrained by the multicultural pro-diversity wonks from discussing the Islam / Moslem immigrant question.

I'm a traditionalist in most senses, and I'm also a Christian coming from an Evangelical background, although probably a bit more liberal than most of the tub-thumpers. As I've said before, I've nothing against gays so long as they don't shove it down my throat . Increasingly, however, they are doing so. Legalising gay marriage was, to me, a bridge too far. I hope there will be a backlash eventually, as there will be also against the Islamists, and I'm afraid that I won't have a huge amount of sympathy for either of they if it happens - but the way our society is developing, I doubt that it will.

Morgan is merely following the party line which involves suppressing of freedom of thought and speech, and toe the Government line whether you like it or not. It amply demonstrates to us that there is little difference between Cameron's Tories and Blair's NuLabour.

I know there are those on these boards who probably won't like what I've posted, but we all have different values, different lines in the sand, and we'll just have to agree to differ!

A problem with the Morgan/government rules could be that a lot of young boys displaying 'homophobic' tendencies will be doing so in innocence of their true meaning. They will be tagged and branded for life when all that most of them will ever need is to be taken to one side for a quiet word.

In my little opinion most homophobics are either the older generation who are totally entitled to their views, or just ignorant. The young ignorant don't have the intellect to be an extremist as far as I am concerned and on the whole they would be far far too lazy

Yes, well, I guess my point is that the "powers" are more than happy to conflate homophobia with extremism because it makes anyone even mildly straight very wary about criticising LGBT, and that suits the LGBT lobby, which the Government aids and abets, just fine. And that inherent wariness is why you've probably not sparked a "debate" on this thread.

Correct, the intrinsic message conflating homophobia and extremism is absolutely no different to what Morgan has espoused regarding Islamic radicalisation and extremism. So we need to look at the bigger picture, and understand how Government are setting out to control 24/7 all our thoughts, words and deeds. Then take a long hard look at how they are assisting the minority groups to peddle their causes, all in the cause of their warped left-wing ideologies.

OK, so here's one; next up - let's conflate child-smacking with extremism. It's nearly here, actually, have you seen all the adverts which have suddenly burgeoned inside your local buses, general surgeries etc. "Do you know of a child being abused? Then you must report it. We will take you seriously." How long before chastisement smacking is conflated with abuse, to suit the agenda of the minority who want a total ban on it?

Not for much longer, I guess, the way things are going in this country. Look at the recent court cases against Christians, for example Ashers Bakery in Northern Ireland and the Cornish guesthouse.

Freedom of speech will follow freedom of belief in becoming an anachronism. Careless talk an' all that .....

The term "homophobia"" is used too freely and inappropriately, in my opinion.

I don't fear, hate or mistrust them. I just pity then for not being normal, and I don't approve

Nope, I've been on holiday in Barcelona and now I'm home I'm racing to try and get concrete laid in our second courtyard before I run out of weekend....

So I'm not on the pc much.
