Good old impartial BBC

Tonight on the BBC news they were broadcasting from some Greek Island which has been overrun by "migrants". After ten minutes of the BBC giving it the poor, poor pitiful me voice they topped it all off with the interviewer greeting a dinghy full family of illegal immigrants and shaking them all by the hand. I was so angry I had to turn the TV off and leave the room.

The BBC has to go; the aren't reporting news, they are broadcasting propaganda.

I do feel for the Syrians, and to some extent the Afghans, they are fleeing hell-holes. However, having got to Turkey they are in what the UN defines as a safe haven. By entering Greece (Europe) they immediately become illegals, criminals, and should be returned to Turkey where they can make legal applications for asylum and possible entry to Europe. It is up to Turkey to process them in the first place.

And I do agree with Cromwell, the BBC's coverage was nothing more than propaganda and an attempt to pull at our heart strings.

I don't know what the BBC is trying to do.
All I know is that they are making a mess of it.

Regarding all these immigrants, I really don't know what to think.
The problem is that there are probably several reasons why they are on the move,
some of which are deserving of our compassion, and others which are not.

How about this......

BBC Songs Of Praise programme tomorrow will include a visit to Calais

Syria is a hell hole, and we are getting closer to becoming the same.. Women and children I would welcome with open arms,
As for the assortment of males "sorry matey go home and fight to rid your country of the terrorist and murderer's who are creating hell on earth" the time will come when our undermanned forces will have to go and "fight your battles whilst you sit in my country getting all the benefits available and a roof over your head. In contrast our own ex soldiers many homeless and others limbless due to fighting your wars cannot even get replacement artificial arms and legs on our failing NHS..

That's an angle I hadn't thought of - but it's a damn good one, Kate.

So glad to see your reply dear Aggers. I am not entirely alone with my views.
