Social media can harm you child's education.

A school in Leeds, Morley Academy, says that if parents do not stop criticising it by making negative comments then their pupils will not be allowed on school trips and other 'incentives'. It s working with police to stop this negativity and breakdown of rapport.

Could it be that because rapport has already broken down that parents are making negative comments? Will the police be monitoring pubs and clubs to make sure parents only make positive comments? Will mums' coffee mornings have moderators in attendance?

How about the school teaching its pupils and stop listening in to tittle-tattle on facebook and twitter? Parents complaining about school has been going on since the first school opened; it is not a new phenomenon.

It was in the Mail today that lots of young children,(including pre-school age),
are allowed by their parents to take to bed electronic devices.

Surely that can harm more than just their education?

What is the world coming to?

I sort of agree with that, Aggers.

However, re social media, why are schools and other agencies even getting involved? Ignore it.

Do what you have to do and be good at it.

Social media is neither here nor there.
