"A former special adviser to Prime Minister Gordon Brown. On 11 April 2009 he resigned his position after it emerged on a political blog that he and another prominent Labour Party supporter, blogger Derek Draper, had exchanged emails discussing the possibility of disseminating rumours McBride had fabricated about the private lives of some Conservative Party politicians and their spouses. The emails from McBride had been sent from his No. 10 Downing Street email account."

A person who is a dirty and low as this has no place in public life, imo. He certainly does not deserve to be a guest on the Andrew Marr show on the BBC which is where he is right now!

But after the BBC worked so hard at rehabilitating the equally odious Alastair Campell, it's no surprise.

From what I remember he was Brown's bulldog who spent his time attacking Blairites in the party, including Hairnet Harperson and Mr Darling.

A nasty piece of work, by all accounts. A typical cowardly bully.

.... which does make me wonder about the Dolphin Square accusations and this journalistic exposure-website Exaro .... interesting that the DM and the Telegraph seem to be girding up in recent days to have a close look into them.
