Are we really stupid?

There has just been an item on the news about how dangerous Halloween costumes are.

There are now urgent calls for better labelling to inform us, that, wait for it, polythene, nylon, plastic, polyester and other man-made fibres melt or burn if they catch fire and can cause serious injuries.

Don't most people already know this? Has life and eleven years in education not already taught them this?

"Do not set fire to these Bat Wings, they will burn. Do not jump off buildings and hope to fly, these wings are for decoration purposes only."

It's all part of the dumbing down of modern society. Set a low standard and comprehensively fail to achieve it.

The government does not want independent, able, clear thinking voters. They want sheep.

Baaaaad.

This is all because that Woman with the Fringe's daughter (Claudia from Strictly) had a terrible accident last year, and now her mother is campaigning for changes in the law. Of course she could have used some common sense and not let her daughter near naked flames wrapped in plastic, but apparently we do need laws to teach common sense these days

A dummy link, Aggers, I was being silly.

Kaz, I did think it might be Sleb driven... and it is almost working.

Out on the street the reporter kept hearing the same things regurgitated parrot fashion:

"We nee better labelling"
"We need to be informed"
"These are our children's lives"
"There should be warning signs on the display stands"

I half expected somebody to suggest an app to download to keep them safe.

One brain, slightly used, going cheap.

Surplus to requirements due to Government replacing all higher thought functions with 0 thought directives....
