So sad.... will this ever come to an end? I've been to Istanbul numerous times; such a beautiful city where (for me at least) East has always met West in a peaceful manner and now it's not such a safe city anymore.

Ataturk will be turning in his grave with what is going on

Horrible Ria, and shocking for you when it is somewhere you have happily visited in the past :( (((x)))

I don't know what the answer is to all of this violence, the world gets more like a powder keg every year :(

Random, yet targeting Westerners, according to reports. It is getting to the point where nowhere is safe.

I do wish that the media would stop naming these terrorist groups as it gives them the oxygen of publicity and they then use their recognition as a recruitment tool.

I wonder how many more potential TNT trouser wearers are currently in Germany? It doesn't bear thinking about.

The terrorists are bombing tourist centres in Muslim countries to destroy the tourist industry there.

So the terrorists ruin the tourism industry, which is a big part of the economy of many of these countries. People are put out of work and social unrest follows. Social unrest creates the vacuum into which the terrorist can move even though they caused the problem in the first place, and so things go....

Classic divide and conquer.

What a sad world we are living in.

Will there ever be peace, perfect peace?
