Jam

Postby debih » 01 Apr 2013, 19:10

I made my first batch of jam in my new kitchen.

Rhubarb and ginger. 8 jars in total.

My next batch will either be gooseberry and elderflower (although I have no elderflower cordial left so I may have to wait until the elderflowers are out) or redcurrant jelly.

I have written a long, long list of all the jams and pickles I want to make.

The home made alcohol list will no doubt be longer!

Rhubarb and ginger sounds delicious.

Gooseberries are horrible, but jam or wine made from them are gorgeous.

I once made some Kiwi friut jam, never again.

I quite like kiwi jam.

I think I am going to make marmalade (not sure what type yet - I like pink grapefruit. I might do a variety) and also some onion marmalade.

My absolute favourite jam that I make is raspberry and lime. Everyone who has a jar from me says how much they like it.

I do onion relish. It is sooooo good with a bit of strong cheese or a cold cut.

That sounds relish. I'm summing up the physical energy to make lemon honey tonight.
