It's arrived

Not sure if I told you guys, but my half a cow finally arrived. Deb, what do you do to your meat? Do you re-wrap it at all? Mine has come wrapped up in glad wrap (cling film/plastic wrap trying to remember what you guys call it) but I'm not sure if that will be sufficient. I've put it all into zip lock bags, but now I'm wondering if that is going overboard.

And the texture of the cooked meat is just amazing! I'm not buying store bought meat again! It is just so succulent.
The best bit, is there is enough room in my freezer for something else, so I might have a look to see if I can get a lamb from somewhere.

I do need some kind of basket system, as I can see things getting lost down the bottom of the freezer very quickly.
Everything happens for a reason

Sounds good! I think you needed the extra covering. You also need to be able to get individual portions out easily to thaw.
