I need some advice please I fancy buying a bread baking machine
There is only me and I don't use loads of bread but it might be ideal just for the odd loaf or fruit loaf
Thanks for any advice

Saundra, in my opinion they are not worth the counter top or cupboards space for one person.

I had a Kenwood and it made large and medium loaves. By the time I took into consideration the ingredients and electricity it just was not worth it. I found that I could make a loaf by hand in less time and it was just as good, but I also found that I could go to the shop and buy one a lot easier.

If I was in a family of, say, four and we went through a loaf a day I would certainly go back. I could load it up at any time and then set the timer for overnight bread making. We would all wake up to the wonderful smell of newly baked bread.

I wouldn't dare get a bread maker - I'd end up looking like one of the Roly Polys.

The fantastic different breads they do out here is enough to make me drool every time I walk past a panadería.

Sorry Saundra..not much help from me.

Hope you get what you're looking for. xx

Hubby makes all our bread and he uses the Kenwood and lets it rise in the airing cupboard. His bread is super - we never buy any.

I'd be like Ally I'm afraid

I sometimes buy those packet mixes that look like small bags of flour. Aldi sell them at some silly price like 59p, they're easy to make and are tasty.

You are better buying good quality flour though.

I am with Mr & Mrs Rodo re the flour. You pay more but you do get a much better loaf, and you know exactly what is in it.

Think I will just make sure my freezer has bread in it
It's £12-00 taxi to the nearest shop  might just keep a bread pack in the cupboard tho for emergency :D

Take a couple of slices out of a loaf within a day or two of buying it and freeze.
Clingfilm and a plastic bag and it's fine, and you can toast from frozen or use the toaster to thaw quickly.
And/or buy packs of 4 rolls, eat one and freeze 3 :)
