Grumpy will be 70 in October and we're going to have a few people around for nibbles and booze.
My ideas so far are:-
a couple of cheese, onion and bacon flans
cold roast taters
cold new taters
french sticks with garlic and normal butter
cold cooked sausage
cold chicken breasts, sliced, stuffed with a variety of fillings
red, yellow and orange peppers, sliced
ditto carrots
those meatbally things you can get in Aldi
A couple of dips
We'll be about 12 bods, English, Austrian, Dutch, Irish and a couple of finicky eaters.

Thes are things I'd like to do beforehand WM - I was thinking about chilli, jacket spuds, but that would mean I'd be in and out of the kitchen, so decided not to bother.
I have to make everything myself, as we don't have the sort of thing, from supermarkets, you can get over there.
I could go to Apalonoia, but that would cost and arm and leg, not just petrol, but the cost.

More salady stuff? Three bean salad? Rice salad? Any veggies coming?

Yes. Apparently some red, yellow and orange peppers and some sliced
carrots will be there.

No veggies.
I was thinking of rice salad, but Grumpy said no. Might do some anyway and maybe some samosas.

to make it a bit easier for you, what about a coronation chicken salad vs the stuffed chicken breasts?
also, good old fashioned 70's deviled eggs - I love those
what is the weather usually like in October - warm or cold(er)?
