I have had electric, and induction, but gas is far and away my favourite ;)

In my opinion gas and induction are similar in that the controls are instant, turn it up or down and its immediate whereas electric has to heat up and cool down.

Where induction wins for me (and this probably says more about my cooking than the hob) is ease of cleaning. Because the actual saucepans get hot not the hob nothing ever burns on. It's just wipe clean. Gas you have to lift things off, and its a faff

But thats only my opinion

Shell, it's not an opinion, it's a fact.

Take off the trivets, take off the burner lids, take off the burners, then throw the lot into the sink with scolding hot water, caustic soda and wash-up liquid. Then get scraping and scratching with the Brillo pad.... and then put it all back together.

Or you can do: "Flash! Speed wipe. Cleans up the impossible".

OK, I can't hit the high notes, but you get the idea.
