I'm FAO'ing Di cos she's The Wise One!

I've made a huge boo boo!!!

Last week the boys specifically asked for stuffing to go with the Christmas dinner and I usually have a few packets of traditional sage and onion in my cupboard.

Gone to said cupboard...and NONE!!! :( :( :(

Do you have a recipe please. Pretty please. I know you're busy but I'd be so grateful.

Trusty old Good Housekeeping to the rescue Ally...I'll go get it>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Oh it's dead easy :)
2 large onions, chopped
25g butter
100g fresh white breadcrumbs
2 level teaspoons dried sage
Salt & pepper
Put onion in a pan of cold water, bring to the boil and cook until tender - about 10 mins.
drain well, add the other ingredients and mix well.

It doesn't say how long to cook it or anything, you might have to google for that :)

You cannot beat good old basic sage and onion - you can keep all your fancy smancy stuffings, sage and onion is the best!

Agreed Osc, others come and go but sage & onion's best :)
I got a pack of Saxo to go with our cold turkey as we don't usually have any white bread - but yesterday spotted a loaf in Waitrose for 10p and my first thought was stuffing! :P
I shall make it tomorrow :x

Yayyyyy, good old Good Housekeeping to the rescue :D

Someone bought me the GH cookery hardback in 1977, when I got married. It was such a help to me as I couldn't cook a thing, and my first hub was very sociable so we entertained a lot!! I lost it during a house move in the 90's, I was sorry to lose it  :?
