Our slow cooker is a Tesco one that cost £8 on offer, about 3 or 4 years ago.
It's been used loads, I've been really pleased with it, but as you know do usually prefer to brown things first, especially onions etc.
And look what I found This!

I figured we'd had more than our money's worth out of the old one, it can go on freecycle if the neighbour doesn't want it

And it matches my kettle

Mine doesn't, I ordered the black one

Oooh and mine too Saundra, but my slow cooker is still fine

Oh what a good idea! I always brown my meat first too.

Also Loz at the end you can take out your big piece of meat and keep the juice hot, or reheat and/or thicken it

I really like the look of that Di. My slow cooker is still fine too, but we did buy it when we moved in here, 28 years ago, so I think I could treat myself

They do go on and on don't they Mm - they're so simple I suppose, nothing much could go wrong

I'm ever so pleased I did it, as what I hadn't thought of is that this pot is metal, so it's a lot lighter.
It was a real struggle to hold the other one one-handed, tipping it to get all the juice out, I had to get Bb to hold it for me.

I am thinking about this, but I have only had my slow cooker for about 2 years. It seems a waste to replace it so soon. This one does look so useful though doesn't it.

I will keep thinking!
