Slow Cooker

Our slow cooker is a Tesco one that cost £8 on offer, about 3 or 4 years ago.
It's been used loads, I've been really pleased with it, but as you know do usually prefer to brown things first, especially onions etc.
And look what I found :D This!

I figured we'd had more than our money's worth out of the old one, it can go on freecycle if the neighbour doesn't want it ;) :)

Oh what a good idea! I always brown my meat first too.

Also Loz at the end you can take out your big piece of meat and keep the juice hot, or reheat and/or thicken it :)

I really like the look of that Di. My slow cooker is still fine too, but we did buy it when we moved in here, 28 years ago, so I think I could treat myself

They do go on and on don't they Mm - they're so simple I suppose, nothing much could go wrong :)

I'm ever so pleased I did it, as what I hadn't thought of is that this pot is metal, so it's a lot lighter.
It was a real struggle to hold the other one one-handed, tipping it to get all the juice out, I had to get Bb to hold it for me.

I am thinking about this, but I have only had my slow cooker for about 2 years. It seems a waste to replace it so soon. This one does look so useful though doesn't it.

I will keep thinking!
