I've been given a bag of lamb bones, some with quite a bit of meat on them.
Apart from giving them to next doors dog - any ideas??

Stock I s'pose, boiled down to concentrate then freeze. Or first spend ages getting whatever meat off that you can and see how much you get

Boiling them as I type - once I looked properly, there was a lot of fat there, more fat than meat.
Pongs a bit though

Dd you roast them first Ton?
Always much better to roast first with lamb, beef and pork bones.

It might be alright, if you let it cool and take the fat off. With lamb it will probably be thick enough to lift off
With plenty of herbs in (Rosemary? Oregano?) it should be ok

there's hardly any fat on it Kaz - I was on the ole interweb and phone, trying to sort something out and forgot all about it - was simmering away for a looooong time

Well, the fat has settled on it at last and yes, there's still enough meat for either next doors dog (the nice ones from Lisbon) or the bluddy great alsatian who keeps us awake at night.
