I wonder if you have any recipes for bread or scones that don't contain either wheat, soya or yeast? All of the ready made gluten-free breads have yeast in them :(

Also do you have a recipe for gravy, please? Same requirements, no garlic either :roll: :lol:

I went without bread until I'd tested yeast and was ok :)
When I was experimenting I had to buy separate potato flour, rice flour, soya flour, all kinds of things, no-one made a gluten-free flour ready-made. Now it's much easier!
The gluten-free flour to look for is Doves Farm, Waitrose stock it, then you can make things like this:

And scones too :)

Several recipes I did use were from Indian cookbooks, now of course the web is a better source. I used to make these sort of flatbreads, using gram flour (often called besan flour in Indian recipes), which is made from chickpeas.
Poppadoms too, are made from lentil flour so brilliant for snacking and make a nice change :)

Gravy I'm a bit stumped on for anything ready-made, sorry.
And unless you're cooking an actual joint of meat then you won't have juices...bovril? Worcester sauce, a bit of tomato puree, seasoning, water?

Also if you're ok with oats, then oatcakes are a lot more filling than rice cakes.
You have to check the packs as some makes have some wheatflour - like the one in my cupboard :roll:

And if rye's ok then crispbreads - Lidl's are imo nicer than Ryvita, cheaper, and lower in calories per crispbread. They're a bit stronger than rice cakes, but either are good with eg scrambled egg on :)

Yes I'm good with oats :) :) The Dove Farm website is a mine of information, cheers Di! 8-) :D :D

I like ryvita type crispbread too 8-)
