just bumping this up so I don't have to search for it again... making a batch now and will be making another when I get back from Germany

I have SOOOOOO many tomatoes I don't know what to do with them all. Deb's recipe makes four jars - I've got enough for 8 jars on the go in the slow cooker at the moment and then enough tomatoes to make probably another 12 or 16 jars... needless to say that won't be happening so about to advertise them for free on another board :D

Kaz, not to make you jealous but....

as you know, I made two batches of chutney on Saturday and this Sunday I'll make another batch.

That picture of the tomatoes I sent you... once I took out the tomatoes I needed for my 2nd batch, there were still another 2.5kg left over which a lady is collecting today; and over the weekend I gave away approximately another 4 or so kg of green cherry tomatoes. So in total - besides all the ripe tomatoes I had to make passata / tomato sauce, I've had close onto 10kg of green tomatoes.

It's official - I'm tomato'd out

I’m a bit late to be of use here, but the year I had a bumper crop I made tomato sauce. (Ketchup), passata, and tomato sauces for pastas and from the remaining tomatoes for later. Managed to easily cook up 10+kg this way then 50/50 was Jared with the rest frozen into zip lock bags as they freeze flat and don’t take up much room then.
Everything happens for a reason
