soap making

While away, the lady running our Gite showed me how to make soap :D It was all very scientific with careful measuring of oils, caustic soda, essential oils and so on. Great fun though and I made a batch of lavender and rosemary soap. I have to leave it to mature for another couple of weeks, but it's lovely. I shall have to have a go at home now and I am also planning on making some Rose Water soon as my Apothecary rose bushes have lots of buds on them :D

What a lovely thing to learn Loz, and lavender and rosemary sounds gorgeous :)

In our cloakroom I have some handmade goats' milk soap, can't remember the flavour but it smells lovely :)

Oh wow that does sound nice :D 8-) 8-) I grow lavender and rosemary, and love the smell :D

One of the nicest things about Corfu, and all the little shops there, is the olive oil soap :) They add lavender, aloe, rosemary, rose - all sorts really, but my favourite is the pure olive oil one :D So moisturising, and I bring it home for presents as well as personal use 8-)

I'm sure yours will be lovely Loz :)

How lovely Loz! I love the sound of the lavendar and rosemary soap!
I like to use nice soaps in the shower rather than shower gels.
