Linen mix jacket

Postby Osc » 01 Jun 2014, 14:03

We went to a shopping centre this morning and I had planned to have a quick look at fairly casual summery jackets - didn't want to look around too much as I was afraid of running out of energy quite quickly, so just looked in Dunnes Stores and there it was waiting for me  Tried it on, it fitted perfectly, Mr. Osc thought it was really nice.........it would have been rude to leave it there

Oh nice :D

I have a few linen shirts, short, three-quarter and long-sleeved, that I tend to wear over sleeveless t-shirts :)

That looks nice Osc. I'm on the look out for a new jacket, I've not really got one I can wear now but I can't find one that's 'me' (which is why I don't have one as I've been on the lookout for a couple of years now). I know what I want but can't find it!

I haven't got one either Jo, only rainjackets and stuff. Oh and one very old, short, plain black zip-up one that happily still looks ok.
For years I had a lovely one I bought in Paris, it was lots of bright checks - red, orange, little bits of blue and black. I wore it and wore it, but eventually it looked really dated - built-in shoulder pads that, when I took them out, made the shoulders look funny, and it was definitely an '80s style. But one of those things I'd still be wearing now if it was a more classic shape.

I love the sound of that Di, sounds very cheery and colourful. I have a rain jacket and I have a cotton jacket I bought six or seven years ago but it'd only be worn as a last resort now.

I need to take Joe clothes shopping maybe next weekend (if I can get the nerve up lol) so I'll carry on searching

I like jackets, but like you Di I also wear shirts as jackets sometimes 8-) :)

Jo it's infuriating when you know what you want, but just can't find it! :?

There a a few things I'd like to find replacements for:
The Biba cardigan that I wore till it fell apart despite my mum darning it repeatedly :D
That jacket, updated (which I fell in love with on sight as it reminded me of said Biba cardigan ;) :D
The Russell & Bromley boots, saved and saved for when I was in my first job, that were just perfect :D
Oh and an up-to-date version of the multi-coloured silk skirt I bought with horse winnings, that was worn for just about every 'occasion' of any kind for about 10 years :D
Oh yes - and an M&S white cotton jumper, slash-necked, that I also wore till even I had to admit it was no longer white and really did look way past its best :D

That should do it :D
