Just 'body' rollers really not proper curls.

Soft and pretty L, but I know your hair is like mine - so flipping fine it won't hold a curl! I would have loved curls for the wedding, but no way would they have stayed in, especially in the sea air :?

Yep you're right, so soft, but then I have just washed it too :|

I'm going to have a go at a French pleat soon, not tonight though - I know you can get yours in one :)

Oooh that's nice Gal - it looks so different from your normal straight style (which I really like and think really suits you.)

Is a French pleat the one where you start from quite high on the crown of the hair?

If it is...I used to love doing my sister's hair like this. :D :D :D

French pleat - well mine anyway - is where you pull hair back as if it's going into a ponytail, but then twist it upwards against the back of your head , towards the crown, pinning as you go :)

Aw thanks Ally - I was pleased to say the curls stayed relatively in place Friday night but then I had to sleep on it.....so it had a BIT of body yesterday with some unusual flicks LOL

I was googling how to do pleats and found this....still not tried it yet though

That's pretty much how I do mine except I never thought of leaving the top section free, then backcombing it and tucking in afterwards - that's something I will def try 8-)

Gal the big bouncy waves/curls looked lovely on you :D
Mine was always curly/wavy and so much of it, but fine hair so it was easy to curl any which way and it stayed in.

I used to wear it up a lot but for a pleat would just do it like the first part of that video, all in together; from the nape of the neck twist upwards then fold the ends down in and pin the top part of that or however much needed it. The front would sort of settle into place :)

Easier to do if it's blow-dried first, and hairdressers would say better the day after it's washed, it will hold in better.
Those with less/thinner hair I think are supposed to first dry on those big rollers, to give the body needed, but that's for if you want it to look really good for a special occasion x
