Eye liner

Does anyone on here wear eyeliner.

For a wee while now I've felt I'd like to do something a little different with my make up...well, my eyes as that's all I put make up on (apart from lippie)

I normally just wear mascara and going 'out out' I usually wear some eye pencil round the edges.

What I really fancy doing is applying eyeliner in maybe a slightly 60's style...with the little flick bit at the side.

Black looks the norm for this...is it best applied with a gel/brush thing or a sharp pencil?

(Guess who's never done this before?!)

What do you think? Would it look too 'made up' for my face?

I've googled some pics (the one of Adele wearing eyeliner looks amazing...subtle, but noticeable without being OTT.)

Advice would be very welcome please.... :D

I don't wear eyeliner a la Adele mainly because my eyes are quite deepset so not much lid on show, I tend to use eyeliner under my lower lashes to give a bit of definition every day, but Jen wears the flicky type of liner sometimes - hers is a MakeUp Academy one from Superdrug.

I used to love making up my eyes properly, this damned blepharitis means I hardly ever do now :(
That Bourgois one looks perfect :)

I have one, and it is really easy to apply, I tried those bottles of gel liner with the brush - B uses those and it looks fab - but my hands aren't steady enough

When I was 18/19-ish, I'd just slap it on, literally :D
You can get away with anything at that age can't you? :D

Oh, just remembered, I had Mary Quant green eyeliner and matching mascara

Yes you can get away with anything at that age :D B doesn't always wear makeup, she is more than happy to go out and about without it on, although she does always wear mascara and blusher for work - but when she does use the gel eyeliner she does it very expertly - one nicely painted line with a tiny flick at the corner :)

When I was in my 20s I could do full eye makeup, shadow, eye liner, mascara, in about five minutes! These days I use a soft pencil and struggle to keep my hand steady, not smudge on the wrinkles  and hope to have the lines even. Ordinary eyeliner looks too hard on me now.
